“My baby rocks me with a
steady roll,” the song that coined the term ‘rock
‘n roll’, first used in ’51 by Alan
Freed, a Cleveland DJ. In ‘55 Variety magazine
printed an article which stated rock ‘n roll music
would fade from popularity and disappear by summer.
They had no idea how wrong they were. That was just
the beginning… Just like us, people fell in love
with the music and the fashion.

about this era. The cars, the atmosphere, the good times
